Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation is seeking a Senior DCC Operator to join a critical, fast-paced team focused on restoring power and maintaining grid reliability. You will monitor outage events, coordinate field resources, and ensure real-time data accuracy to support efficient restoration at the feeder level and below.

Working with the Grid Management team and DCC leadership, you will gain exposure to OMS, DMS, and SCADA systems, and you will be responsible for issuing safety and operational tags.

Qualifications

• High-school Diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree is preferred.
• Experience as an operator is preferred.
• Candidates must pass the SOPD II test.

Responsibilities

• Direct outage dispatching for feeder level outages and below; coordinate field resources.
• Model outages and keep OMS/DMS distribution system accurate.
• Authorize and model HLT, clearance, DNO, and information tags under supervision.
• Monitor DSCADA/DMS, operate breakers, and support large outages/restoration.
