Job summary

Aggreko is seeking a Power Technician 2 based in Bridgeport, NJ. You’ll perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, and electrical equipment, with daily field travel in a company vehicle.

You may work solo or with peers, and overtime/weekends are possible, including some travel. Based out of the Bridgeport Service Center, you’ll troubleshoot issues at customer sites and in-shop, contributing to reliable power and energy services with robust training and growth

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• 3-7 years of experience working on power generators equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• You’ll be based out of our Bridgeport, NJ Service Center and can expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle.
• You’ll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshooting equipment failures at the shop and at customer locations and handling the repairs.
• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites.

You Are:

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
