Job summary

SpaceX is hiring a Plant Technician to support day-to-day operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting at our power generation facility. This hands-on role spans mechanical, electrical, and controls work, including pumps, piping, chillers, and switchgear, with adherence to procedures and safety standards.

You will perform inspections, diagnose issues early, and restore systems while coordinating with operations and engineering.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with industrial mechanical, electrical, and/or control systems.
• Experience writing and executing MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and maintenance support for plant systems, including mechanical, electrical, and controls.
• Perform daily inspections of critical systems, identify issues early, and self‑report problems before they affect generation.
• Troubleshoot and repair operational issues found during normal plant operation, start-up, outages, or commissioning.
• Adjust, repair, or replace faulty mechanical, electrical, and controls components.
• Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of plant control systems, including PLC, HMI, SCADA, and related industrial controls for generation, cooling, power distribution, and safety.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, data sheets/manuals, drawings, and equipment documentation.
