Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Plant Technician to support day-to-day operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting at our power generation facility. This is a hands-on role spanning mechanical, electrical, and controls systems including pumps, piping, chillers, cooling towers, HVAC, generators, motors, water systems, UPS, switchgear, and plant control systems.

You will read P&IDs, schematics, data sheets/manuals, and work with MOPs/SOPs while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency
• 3+ years hands-on technician/operator experience in industrial mechanical, electrical, and/or control systems
• Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred with power/industrial background

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support for plant mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and control systems
• Perform daily inspections and identify issues early
• Troubleshoot operational issues and repair components
• Assist with PLC/HMI/SCADA-based control systems
• Read P&IDs, schematics, data sheets and equipment manuals
• Coordinate with operations and engineering to restore equipment and keep the plant running
