Job summary

Army National Guard seeks a Power-Generation Equipment Repairer to maintain and repair generation systems critical to military operations. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, replace components, and adjust electrical parameters per manuals, enabling reliable power in diverse environments.

Training spans Basic and Advanced Individual Training with hands-on field and classroom work. You’ll earn a regular paycheck during drills and qualify for education benefits and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate.
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Must meet citizenship requirements (see NATIONALGUARD.com for details).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on tactical utility, precise power-generation sets, internal combustion engines, and associated equipment.
• Replace voltage regulators, governors, or circuit cards as needed.
• Adjust frequencies and voltages using technical publications to improve efficiency.
