Sudden Service, Inc. is seeking a skilled Field Service Power Generator Technician to service generator systems in the Corpus Christi, TX area.

The role includes diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, testing ATS, installing new assemblies, and performing preventive maintenance to ensure peak performance. You will travel for out‑of‑town assignments, mentor junior technicians, and participate in ongoing training and certifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Extensive experience with diesel/gas engines and power generator systems.
• Proven expertise in electrical diagnostics and ATS systems.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and repair generator systems—mechanical and electrical—like a true problem-solver.
• Service and test Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) from leading brands.
• Install new generator assemblies and fine-tune controls for peak performance.
• Perform inspections during delivery, scheduled maintenance, and post-repair.
• Keep systems running smoothly with preventive maintenance: fluid/filter changes, AC/DC checks, belt/hose inspections, exhaust evaluations, and load bank testing.
• Document every detail—diagnostics, time logs, mileage, billing—with precision.
• Maintain a clean, organized service truck and a professional appearance.
• Mentor junior technicians and share your expertise.
• Stay sharp with ongoing training and certifications.
• Respond to emergency calls and join our 24/7 on‑call rotation.
• Travel overnight for out‑of‑town assignments (company service truck provided).

What You’ll Do

• Partner with our Service Manager to plan efficient routes and deliver top-notch customer service.
• Diagnose and repair generator systems—mechanical and electrical—like a true problem-solver.
• Service and test Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) from leading brands: Generac, Cummins/Onan, Kohler, CAT, MTU, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, Mitsubishi, Doosan.
• Install new generator assemblies and fine-tune controls for peak performance.
• Perform inspections during delivery, scheduled maintenance, and post-repair.
• Keep systems running smoothly with preventive maintenance: fluid/filter changes, AC/DC checks, belt/hose inspections, exhaust evaluations, and load bank testing.
• Document every detail—diagnostics, time logs, mileage, billing—with precision.
