We are looking for a Generator Field Service Technician in the San Antonio area. If you are mechanically inclined, a problem solver, and someone people go to when they need something fixed, this may be the gig for you. No experience in power generation is required; we offer training for someone with a good understanding of how things work. You will work with combustion engines—Diesel, Natural Gas, or Propane— and electrical systems including 120/240 V single‑phase, 277/480 V three‑phase, and 12 V–24 V DC controls. A laptop will be used to interface with controls software.
Each day you’ll start by opening your tablet/laptop to review your schedule. After leaving the company‑supplied service truck, you will travel to your first job site. You may perform routine planned maintenance inspections, engine servicing (oil and filter changes), quoted service repairs, emergency trouble calls, or commissioning/start‑ups of newly installed generators. After completing each task, you will finalize paperwork electronically and sync updates via a mobile technician application. Travel to the office is only required for parts or supplies.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Experience: 2 years of experience with diesel and/or natural gas engines, generators, and automatic transfer switches.
