Job summary

Volvo Group's Volvo Penta North America (VPNA) is seeking a Technical Support Specialist, Power Generation Products, on-site in Chesapeake, VA. You will handle technical support requests from dealers, OEMs, and customers for marine and industrial engines, and support diagnostics, repairs, and warranty processes.

Reporting to the Manager, Technical Services, you will use ARGUS and other tools, maintain records, and share knowledge with stakeholders across North America.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2-year technical certification or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on engine experience, preferably heavy equipment or marine.
• At least 1 year in a customer-facing role.
• Knowledge of marine/industrial engines and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to dealers with technical and diagnostic support and warranty authorizations.
• Enter and maintain records in ARGUS case management system.
• Share technical information with internal and external stakeholders.
• Advise dealers on VPNA Warranty policy and procedures.
• Coordinate with warranty for pre-authorization per policies.
• Identify trends for product quality and provide feedback to teams.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of VPNA products and diagnostics.
• Serve as go-to technical expert for VPNA colleagues.
