Olsson is seeking a Group Leader for Natural Gas Power Generation to lead a growing team of engineers, designers, and project managers. You will oversee project delivery, mentor talent, and align technical work with client and business objectives.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in engineering/energy, with at least 4 years in leadership, and a strong understanding of natural gas generation systems. This role supports hiring and strategic growth within the gas power practice.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related engineering/energy experience with 4+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience leading technical professionals in engineering/energy environments.
• Strong understanding of natural gas power generation systems, facilities, or supporting infrastructure.
• Experience delivering projects, ensuring quality, and enabling cross-discipline collaboration.
• Proven ability to grow and scale a technical team while staying engaged in day-to-day needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers, engineers, designers, and technical staff.
• Foster collaboration, accountability, and open communication aligned with Olsson’s values.
• Provide leadership oversight for natural gas power generation projects, ensuring quality and delivery.
• Partner with PMs and technical leaders to balance workloads and monitor utilization.
• Guide process improvement to enhance efficiency, quality control, and team performance.
• Serve as a client-facing leader, building trusted relationships and supporting business development within the natural gas power generation market.
• Help team members understand how their work contributes to broader goals and strategy.
• Collaborate with leadership on hiring, onboarding, and long-term talent development.
