Job summary

MSHS Pacific Power Group is seeking an experienced Field Technician to service power generation equipment across the Pacific Northwest. In Kent, WA, you’ll diagnose and repair diesel and gaseous generators, troubleshoot AC/DC systems, and support critical power systems for hospitals, data centers, and government facilities.

You will travel to customer sites in the Seattle metro area, work overtime as needed, and contribute to safe, reliable operation while maintaining detailed service records.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in power generation, diesel systems, or electrical troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with AC/DC electrical systems, generator repairs, and transfer switches.
• Ability to work independently in a field service role.
• Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel and gaseous generators.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC systems (110V - 600V), transfer switches, switchgear, and engine controls.
• Conduct load bank and battery testing to ensure optimal system performance.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify electrical and mechanical faults.
• Maintain service documentation and uphold safety procedures.
• Travel to customer sites and support emergency power needs as required.
