Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Field Service Power Generation Technician in Dallas, TX to perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on generators at customer sites.

A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered and the role emphasizes professional customer interaction, adherence to safety policies, and proper documentation of work performed. The technician will use specialized tools, follow documented procedures, and may coach apprentices while ensuring timely, high-quality service and strong customer

Qualifications

• Experience performing preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on generators or components.
• Ability to diagnose using documented procedures and policies.
• Comfort working at customer sites and communicating with customers.

Responsibilities

• Completing preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on generators or components at the customer site with minimal direction.
• Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Applying the use of specialized tools and following documented procedures to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools.
• Completing required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims.
• Completing training in line with skill and business requirements.
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental policies and report issues to supervisor.
