Description

We are seeking a talented Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in Kansas City, MO.

In this role, you will:

• Complete repairs and rebuilds on engine products in the field
• Develop productive customer relations and ensure prompt and efficient attention to customer needs
• Apply documented procedures and policies to complete repairs and schedule maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools
• Assist with documentation such as work completed reports, time sheets, warranty claims, and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens
• Complete training aligned with skill and business requirements
• Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, reporting any issues or incidents to their supervisor

Responsibilities

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance skills
• High Voltage / Low Voltage experience
• Ability to perform electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision, with hands-on experience working on power generation products
• (Entry level) primarily engaged in preventive maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics on generators
• Basic Diesel Engine experience
• Supervision and review of workmanship quality

Qualifications

• A valid current license is required
• A 5-year motor vehicle report free from major violations is required
• Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
• At least 3 years of driving experience
• Must comply with DOT driving regulations, including Hours of Service and electronic Log Book use
• Applicants must be at least 21 years old to hold a CDL
