Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. is seeking an Electrical Power Generation Field Service Technician in Columbus, Georgia. This role involves providing field service support for our Caterpillar Commercial Product line, including installation and maintenance of generators, transfer switches, and switchgear systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, along with at least 3 years of EPG field experience. A full benefits package includes competitive pay, medical, vision, and dental coverage.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, knowledge of tools applicable to the position.
• Desire to provide superior customer service.
• Ability to take direction and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer support for on-site facilities through evaluations and troubleshooting.
• Repair and maintain engine based power generation/Industrial Systems.
• Communicate issues and report findings from field service events.

Skills

Experience with Diesel and Natural Gas Engines

Good working knowledge of power generation components

Microsoft Office Software proficiency

Ability to read electrical schematics

Excellent customer relationship management

Strong proactive problem solving

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Must be 21 years or older

Valid, active driver's license

Ability to clear driver screenings

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

3+ years of EPG field experience
