Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. is seeking an Electrical Power Preventative Maintenance Technician in Georgia.

The role supports Caterpillar equipment service, performing installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of engine and electrical systems including generators, transfer switches, UPS and switchgear. Ideal candidates have a mechanical/electrical aptitude, strong urgency, and a track record in customer service. A high school diploma is required, with 3 years of EPG field experience and ASE-type or EGSA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of EPG field experience or accepted alternate.
• Experience with Diesel and Natural Gas Engines, Electrical Switchgear, Automatic Transfer Switches and Balance of Plant Equipment.
• Microsoft Office Software proficiency.
• Able to read electrical schematics and equipment mechanical drawings.
• Excellence at managing Customer relationships.
• High level of responsiveness and proactive problem solving.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer support for on-site facilities through technical evaluations and problem solving.
• Repair and maintain reciprocal engine-based power/industrial systems in the territory.
• Guide, assist, and train service technicians and customers.
• Explain and defend warranty decisions; issue service bulletins to customers and office personnel.
• Communicate costs, service and reliability issues to drive cost reduction and design improvements.
• Write full field service reports with clear, concise information.
