Job summary

Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC is hiring for a Field Engineer in Training (EIT) based in Latham, NY. The role includes two years of mentorship with engineers to learn inspection, alignment, and maintenance practices on GE and Westinghouse turbine-generator units, with potential billable assignments during training.

The position requires extensive travel within the US and occasionally abroad, and relocation is not required.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of power generation equipment.
• Ability to work in an industrial environment.
• Must pass drug screen and background review.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect turbine/generator components.
• Provide technical direction to field teams.
• Review turbine inspection data and findings.
• Troubleshoot and balance turbine generators.
• Assist outage planning and labor tracking.
• Travel extensively for training and assignments.
