Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to design, build, and maintain electrical power systems for new power generation projects. You will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team, ensuring integration with mechanical and controls disciplines, and coordinate with utilities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years in electrical projects, with management experience preferred and PE licensure advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of professional experience on electrical projects.
• 3+ years of management experience.
• PE license.
• Experience with power plant or power generation electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and work with multiple disciplines to design and specify electrical power distribution systems for power generation plants.
• Oversee switchgear, motor control centers, plant and yard lighting, and UPS/standby generators.
• Coordinate electrical installations with local utilities and ensure code compliance.
• Provide engineering support for power plant operation, troubleshooting, and asset integrity.
• Review and analyze power distribution, control schematics, and protection systems.
