Job summary

Entergy is seeking rising juniors and seniors in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering for the Student, Intern Power Generation Summer 2027 program at the Louisiana Montz location. The internship supports engineering tasks, data analysis, document prep, and project development within the plant’s engineering group.

Participants will assist Plant Lead and Operations Teams with day-to-day tasks, support project development, troubleshoot issues, and conduct detailed follow-ups.

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergrad in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering with GPA 2.8 or higher.
• Some work experience is beneficial but not required.
• General electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering knowledge; strong analytical and communication skills; proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Supports the Plant Lead Team and Operations Teams with day-to-day tasks.
• Supports Project Development.
• Supports troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Conducts follow-ups in a detailed fashion.
• Handles multiple assignments and meets deadlines.
• Proactively forwards work issues to managers and supervisors.
• Works well in a team environment.
