The Power Generation Electrical Technician at PROPWR performs installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of low- and medium‑voltage electrical systems related to power generation and site infrastructure. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and operational readiness, working closely with Operations, Commissioning, Engineering, and Maintenance teams.

Preferred candidates hold a High School Diploma or GED with technical college training, 2 years of medium

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical college training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of previous medium voltage electrical experience.
• Certified Journeyman Electrician or Master Electrician preferred; NEC/OSHA familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems for power generation assets.
• Perform electrical terminations, cable routing, panel wiring, and equipment installation per drawings and plans.
• Conduct insulation resistance tests, continuity, voltage/current measurements, and functional verifications.
• Troubleshoot faults, identify root causes, and implement safe corrective actions to restore performance.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, LOTO, and energized work controls.
