Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee field construction activities on power generation projects. You will manage multiple contractor crews, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure work progresses on schedule and within budget while meeting safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong communication, site readiness verification, and the ability to make field decisions, document changes, and lead safety programs.

Qualifications

• Field construction oversight experience.
• Electrical or mechanical oversight throughout a plant environment.
• Strong communication and management background.
• Safety focused with OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

• Manages and inspects the day-to-day activities of multiple contractor crews simultaneously.
• Facilitates replacement/installation of electric infrastructure equipment and ensures safety standards are met.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to maintain schedules, ensure on-time and within-budget work.
• Notify federal, state, and local agencies as required before/during/after construction.
• Verify site readiness with customers prior to commencement and document Customer requirements.
• Maintain frequent contact with contractor supervision and document results.
• Ensure contract terms and technical specifications are met.
• Make field decisions and document changes to ensure compliance and updates in IT systems.
• Lead status communications and conduct job walk-downs with customer and contractor.
• Perform storm duty assignments and report to applicable locations.
• Lead Environmental Health and Safety activities and monitoring.
• Represent client in the field and coordinate with EPC to ensure QA/QC and turnover.
