Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a CAD Designer – Structures to transform engineering input into quality, on-time drawings for large power generation equipment. The role is an individual contributor focusing on models, drawings, BOMs and PLM tooling, working under engineers and senior designers to meet schedules.

The successful candidate will have a technical degree or equivalent CAD experience, with familiarity in GD&T and GE Vernova standards to produce precise detailing and reliable documentation.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or certification.
• OR 5 years of CAD design/drafting or component design experience.

Responsibilities

• Create/maintain mechanical models and drawings for large Power Generation Equipment.
• Create/maintain bill of materials.
• Follow engineers and Senior Designers to complete designs; retrieve input information.
• Execute design details per GE Vernova processes and documentation procedures.
• Issue drawings, models and BOM per GE Vernova processes.
• Meet scheduled dates for design activities and alert management of issues.
• Understand GD&T principles and GE Vernova drawing standards for high-quality drawings.
• Create detailed markups, new drawings and understand detailing processes/standards.
• Understand part attributes and their functionality; mentor others in PLM usage.
