GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a CAD Designer – Structures to transform engineering input into high-quality drawings for large Power Generation equipment. This role focuses on creating and maintaining mechanical models, drawings, and BOMs while adhering to GE Vernova processes.

You will work under engineers and senior designers, meet scheduled dates, apply GD&T and drawing standards, and mentor others in PLM usage. The position offers a competitive benefits package and a great work environment.

Qualifications

  • Technical degree or certification with at least 1 year CAD design/drafting or component design experience.
  • OR 5 years CAD design/drafting or component design experience.
  • Knowledge of GD&T principles and GE Vernova drawing standards.

Responsibilities

  • Create / maintain mechanical models and drawings for large Power Generation Equipment.
  • Create / maintain bill of materials (BOM).
  • Follow directions from engineers and senior designers to complete designs.
  • Retrieve design input information and execute design details per GE Vernova processes.
  • Issue drawings, models and BOMs per documented GE Vernova procedures.
  • Help define/maintain and meet scheduled dates for design activities and alert management to issues.

Job Description Summary

The CAD Designer – Structures at GE Vernova is an individual contributor responsible for taking engineering input to create quality, on-time, world-class drawings.

Job Description

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Ability to create / maintain mechanical models and drawings for large Power Generation Equipment.
  • Ability to create / maintain bill of materials.
  • Following direction from engineers and Senior Designers to complete designs:
  • Retrieving design input information
  • Executing design details per standard GE Vernova practices and documentation procedures
  • Issuing drawings, models and Bill of Materials per documented GE Vernova processes
  • Help define/maintain and meet scheduled dates for design related activities, and provide early communication to alert management of issues.
  • Understand GD&T principles and GE Venova drawing standards and capable to create high quality detailed drawings with SIM TO products/features
  • Create detailed markups, create new drawings and have a full understanding of detailing processes/standards
  • Understanding of part attributes and their functionality
  • Proficient in PLM and able to mentor others in use of PLM

Basic Qualifications:

  • Technical Degree or Certification and a minimum of 1 year of CAD design/drafting or component design experience.
  • OR 5 years of CAD design/drafting or component design experience

Desired:

  • Experience in mechanical design
  • Working knowledge of various agency certifications, codes & standards
  • Working knowledge of Power Generation mechanical Equipment
  • Knowledge of drafting standards
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility in handling a diverse and challenging workload

Additional Information

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay for this position is$1,445.66 weekly.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
