The role develops practical design, analysis, field, and report-writing skills while contributing to protective-relaying and project documentation.

The position offers growth through training, exposure to AutoCAD/MicroStation, and collaboration with senior engineers across utilities and industrial clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university, completed or expected before the employment start date.
• Foundational understanding of three-phase circuits, per-unit calculations, and protective relaying.
• Coursework in electric power systems or related subjects.
• Willingness to travel (<30%) and collaborate with clients and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Assist project engineers with tasks across distribution, transmission, substation, and protection projects.
• Prepare portions of engineering designs and equipment specifications for 480 V to 34.5 kV systems.
• Perform and document basic engineering calculations (short-circuit, load-flow, voltage-drop).
• Build and update power system models; support relay settings development.
• Create and revise drawings using AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Coordinate activities with clients, contractors, and vendors; assist with reports and presentations.
