Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Full-Time Electrical Engineering (Generation) Intern in Overland Park, KS for a 12-week summer program running from May 17, 2027. You will work alongside senior staff, developing technical, social, and ethical skills through hands-on tasks and basic design calculations.

Applicants must be enrolled in an Electrical Engineering program with an anticipated Aug 2027 or later graduation date, and be authorized to work in the United States. No relocation housing is provided.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering undergraduate program with an anticipated grad date Aug 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 or older and authorized to work in the United States.
• Demonstrated interest in Electrical Engineering and passion to develop skills related to WSP projects.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, and common software tools.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical and professional skills.
• Learn basic principles of Electrical Engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Support preparation of final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
