Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies Corp. is seeking a Power Electronics Team Lead to direct and grow a team of engineers pushing the boundaries of power systems for geo-synchronous spacecraft.

You will collaborate across disciplines to define power architectures, drive converter design, and keep schedule alignment with the overall program. We value hands-on hardware development, fast-paced environments, and the ability to recruit and mentor engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience with fast-paced product design cycles.
• 5+ years of board level experience designing power electronics hardware from concept through production.
• Demonstrated ability to design, build, and test hardware from scratch.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage teams of engineers and communicate clearly with other disciplines.
• US Citizenship or Green Card.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and grow a team of power engineers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define spacecraft power requirements and architectures.
• Oversee the design, build, and implementation of power converters and systems.
• Manage a detailed schedule to ensure power development is in sync with the program schedule.
• Drive power converter design, specification, component selection, circuit board design, implementation, verification, board bring-up, and debugging.
• Support recruiting, interviewing, and hiring additional teammates for the rapidly-growing team.
• Support the production and mission operations teams on the build and in-flight use of our power converter hardware.
