Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies is seeking an Engineering Manager for Power Electronics in San Francisco. You will lead a team of power engineers, shape spacecraft power architectures, and drive design from concept through production to support a growing portfolio of satellites.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in power electronics, hands-on hardware experience, and strong leadership in fast-paced environments. This role offers equity, robust health benefits, a 401(k), and on-site meals.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in electrical engineering or similar degree.
• 5+ years in fast-paced product design cycles.
• 5+ years board-level experience designing power electronics hardware.
• Experience designing hardware from concept through production.
• US Citizenship or Green Card

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and grow a team of junior and senior power engineers
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to define spacecraft power requirements and architectures
• Oversee design, build, and implementation of power converters and systems
• Manage a detailed schedule to align power development with program schedule
• Drive power converter design, selection, PCB design, verification, bring-up, and debugging
• Support recruiting and hiring for the team
• Support production and mission operations on build and in-flight use of power converter hardware
• Drive the growth of the power team through recruiting, interviewing, and hiring additional teammates
