The University of Alabama seeks a Research Engineer to advance a power electronics system project combining hardware and control algorithms. You will design, test, and demonstrate power converters exceeding 10 kW and voltages up to 1000 V, and contribute to lab management and safety.

Responsibilities include developing controllers for EV fast chargers and Li-ion energy storage, documenting results, and collaborating with faculty and students to push state-of-the-art technology forward.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or Master's with research experience.
• Experience in developing, testing and demonstrating power electronic systems hardware.
• Knowledge of power converters (>10 kW) and voltages up to 1000 V.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, test and demonstrate power electronic systems hardware with high power levels and voltage.
• Perform experiments, write research proposals and technical reports.
• Maintain laboratory safety and manage lab operations.
