Job summary

TDK-Lambda Americas is seeking a hands-on Repair Depot Electronic Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and test AC/DC power supplies and other electronic products. You will work at component and system levels, reading schematics and using test equipment to ensure repaired items meet quality and safety standards.

You will document repairs and results, help identify recurring issues, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Production teams, while following safety and ESD procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience repairing power supplies, electronic assemblies, industrial equipment, or similar products.
• Strong understanding of analog electronics and AC/DC circuits.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Hands-on soldering, desoldering, and electronic rework experience.
• Experience using electronic test and measurement equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail with the ability to follow documented repair and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming power supplies and electronic equipment for defects and signs of failure.
• Troubleshoot electronic failures at the component, circuit-board, subassembly, and system levels.
• Diagnose issues using multimeters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, electronic loads, AC power sources, and other test equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of material, and technical documentation.
• Repair or replace electronic components including capacitors, resistors, diodes, transistors, MOSFETs, transformers, relays, connectors, fans, fuses, and circuit boards.
• Perform soldering, desoldering, electronic rework, wire termination, and mechanical repairs.
• Test repaired products to verify performance, safety, and quality.
• Document repairs, test results, parts usage, and failure-analysis findings.
• Identify recurring failures and communicate findings with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.
• Follow ESD controls, calibration requirements, safety procedures, and established quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce repair time, repeat failures, and material waste.
