Job summary

TDK-Lambda Americas is seeking a Mechanical Repair Technician to repair and rebuild electronic and electro-mechanical components, subassemblies, and final products. You will work with Customer Service Testers, technicians, and engineers to meet customer due dates and learn all product lines for continuous improvement.

The role requires 3–6 years of related experience or a relevant education/training combination, HS diploma, and proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets Bill of Materials, assembly drawings and manufacturing instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to navigate internet/intranet and use MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure and compute rates.

Responsibilities

• Repair basic mechanical assemblies using hand tools.
• Read and understand BOMs, assembly drawings, and instructions.
• Quality check own and others' work for workmanship and accuracy.
• Update tracking spreadsheets with daily updates.
• Organize and set daily targets to keep repairs moving forward.
• Train others and provide feedback on manufacturing process improvements.
