Job summary

TDK-Lambda Americas is seeking a hands-on Repair Depot Electronic Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and test AC/DC power supplies and related electronics. You will work at component and system levels, using schematics and test equipment to ensure repairs meet quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, soldering, repair of components, and documenting results. The role emphasizes collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Production while following strict

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years' experience repairing power supplies, electronic assemblies, or industrial equipment.
• Strong understanding of analog electronics and AC/DC circuits.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Hands-on soldering, desoldering and electronic rework experience.
• Experience using electronic test and measurement equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow repair and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming power supplies and electronic equipment for defects and signs of failure.
• Troubleshoot electronic failures at the component, circuit-board, subassembly, and system levels.
• Diagnose issues using multimeters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, electronic loads, AC power sources, and other test equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of material, and technical documentation.
• Repair or replace electronic components including capacitors, resistors, diodes, transistors, MOSFETs, transformers, relays, connectors, fans, fuses, and circuit boards.
• Perform soldering, desoldering, electronic rework, wire termination, and mechanical repairs.
• Test repaired products to verify performance, safety, and quality.
• Document repairs, test results, parts usage, and failure-analysis findings.
• Identify recurring failures and communicate findings with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.
• Follow ESD controls, calibration requirements, safety procedures, and established quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce repair time, repeat failures, and material waste.
