Job summary

ERMCO/GridBridge in Raleigh, NC seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Power Electronics, to lead manufacturing development for new power electronics products, from development through pilot builds to early production.

The role hires and develops a manufacturing team, collaborates with product development, quality, supply chain, and external ECMs, and ensures safe, high-quality, scalable processes. Onsite with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or related roles.
3+ years of leadership experience managing engineers, technicians, or cross-functional teams.
Experience with power electronics, electrical equipment, or data center power products.
Experience with electronics contract manufacturers or outsourced partners.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing process development, assembly operations, test processes, and continuous improvement.
Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, BOMs, and test requirements.
Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage manufacturing engineers and technicians supporting power electronics builds, test, and pilot activities.
Develop manufacturing plans, process flows, assembly methods, test approaches, tooling, fixtures, and production readiness plans.
Recruit, onboard, train, and develop team members while promoting safety, quality, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with product development to understand design requirements, risks, and manufacturing considerations.
Plan and execute system integration, acceptance testing, and production validation with internal teams and external ECMs.
Create and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, travelers, and test procedures.
Coordinate prototype, pilot, and early production builds with ECMs and internal teams.
Drive DFM/DFX feedback to improve manufacturability, testability, quality, and serviceability.
Support customer pilots, site deployment readiness, and field feedback resolution.
Report manufacturing status, risks, resources, and recovery plans to leadership.
Ensure adherence to safety, quality, electrical, and operational requirements.
