Zusammenfassung

GOTAFE seeks an undergraduate electrical/computer engineering student to join the power engineering team to build and test flight hardware, design test equipment, prototype circuits, bring up and debug designs in the lab, and write code to evaluate performance and automate testing of satellite hardware. Internship lasts twelve weeks as an hourly role for students enrolled at a four-year university.

Base pay is $29.00 per hour; applicants must be U.S.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Work with the power engineering team to build and test flight hardware
• Design test equipment to validate designs across a wide range of stressed conditions
• Design prototype circuits
• Bringup and debug designs in the lab
• Write code to help evaluate performance and automate testing of satellite hardware
• Coordinate assembly, integration and environmental test efforts

About You

The company is looking for:

• Currently pursuing a B.S. in electrical or computer engineering (or equivalent technical degree)
• Interest in learning about, designing, and working with power electronics systems
• A passion for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development
• Demonstrated ability to personally design, build, and test hardware from scratch
• Experience with Altium Designer or other PCB design software (bonus)
• Experience with SPICE-based simulators such as LTSpice, PSPICE, ADS (bonus)
• Comfortable with soldering and rework (bonus)
• Familiarity with standard EE lab bench equipment (power supply, oscilloscope, multimeter) (bonus)
• Familiarity with basic switched mode converter design (boost and buck converters) (bonus)
• Experience with Python (bonus)

Compensation & Benefits

• Base pay of $29.00 per hour
