Job summary

onsemi invites applications for an Applications Intern focused on SiC JFET products, including discrete devices and high‑power modules, based in Princeton, NJ. You will support internal evaluations, conduct experiments in a lab setting, and help design test setups for electrical, thermal, and mechanical assessments.

Ideal candidates have a degree in EE and relevant semiconductor experience or a master's degree with early career exposure, plus strong problem-solving and communication skills in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in EE plus 2+ years in power semiconductors field or Master’s degree plus 0-2+ years in semiconductor industry.
• Individual must be able to multi-task in both individual and team environments.
• Laboratory experience with power semiconductor products (IGBT, Diode, MOSFET etc.) required.
• Circuit analysis and power electronics course background is mandatory.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills verbal as well as written (English).
• Proficient with lab equipment (oscilloscope, voltage / current probes, power supplies, various mechanical tools)

Responsibilities

• Supporting internal evaluation requests (electrical, thermal, mechanical) with proficient skills in lab environment.
• Independently conduct experiments.
• Designing or crafting customized test setup for internal evaluation (electrical, thermal, mechanical)
