PSG SJD team is seeking a highly qualified applications intern candidate for SiC JFET products (discrete devices, co‑packaged smart power devices and high‑power modules) focusing on trending applications such as AI data center switch mode power conversion, circuit protections, renewable energy, etc.

The position is located in Princeton (NJ, USA).

Responsibilities
  • Supporting internal evaluation requests (electrical, thermal, mechanical) with proficient skills in lab environment (oscilloscope, probes, soldering, etc.)
  • Independently conduct experiments
  • Designing or crafting customized test setup for internal evaluation (electrical, thermal, mechanical)
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in EE, plus 2+ years in the power semiconductors field or master’s degree plus 0-2+ years in the semiconductor industry.
  • Individual must be able to multi-task as an individual and in team environments.
  • Laboratory experience with power semiconductor products (IGBT, Diode, MOSFET etc.) required.
  • Circuit analysis and power electronics course background is mandatory.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills verbal as well as written (English).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient with lab quipment (oscilloscope, voltage / current probes, power supplies, various mechanical tools)

onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $25.00 -$36.00 per hour exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
