Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Power Electronics Intern for Fall 2026 in New Freedom, PA. The role covers component selection, circuit design, testing and verification within the Engineering & Product Development group.

The candidate will work on modern power electronics with emphasis on quality and documentation. The position is suited for a student pursuing an Electrical/Electronics degree with power electronics experience and strong English communication, analytical skills, and documentation

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with power electronics experience.
• Fluent reading, speaking and writing in English; able to document design work clearly.
• Ability to prepare technical summaries and test reports with engineering rigor.
• Strong mathematical and analytical approach to engineering calculations.

## Power Electronics Intern (Fall 2026)Apply: New Freedom-Pennsylvania-United States of America: Full time: Posted Today: WD30279787**What you will do:**Fall 2026 internship in Power Electronics Group of Engineering & Product Development with sound experiences and knowledge of modern power electronics. **How you will do it:*** Technical responsible in all aspects of power electronics related, including components, circuits, and modules, etc.* Component selection and evaluation.* Circuit design, analysis and debugging.* Performance testing and evaluation.* Function verification and validation.* Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and orderly workplace.* Responsible for understanding and complying with quality policy, procedures and instructions to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, attainment of business goals and environmental well-being.* Any other duties as assigned. **What we look for:*** Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with experience in power electronics.* ***Language Skills**** Fluently read, speak and write in English. Ability to respond effectively to inquiries from technical staff.* Ability to write technical documentation including design reports, work instructions and test reports.* Ability to prepare program summaries for peer and executive review.* ***Mathematical Skills**** Ability to apply mathematical and engineering principles to computations with various tools, including but not limited to mathematical models in engineering metrics. **HIRING HOURLY RANGE:** $21.00-$24.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
