Design Variable Speed Drive (VSD) control for JCI chiller applications using MATLAB/SIMULINK. They conduct prototype testing and confirm that the product operates as expected with reference to specific design requirements. **Responsibilities:*** Conduct system modeling, system simulation and verification using MATLAB/Simulink.* Conduct prototype testing on hardware-in-loop system, variable speed drives and chiller to verify control performance.* Support field issue trouble shooting and control method improvements.* Maintain/lead electronic circuit designs with embedded processors and FPGA/CPLD.* Perform worst case circuit analysis and incorporation of appropriate reliability principles to ensure reliable operation over the environmental specifications.* Assist internal customers to develop, test and support PCBA related projects.* Independently conduct and apply cost analysis to feasibility studies on proposed designs or modifications to existing designs.* Understanding and complying with quality policy, procedures and instructions to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.**Required Qualifications:*** BSEE or BSCE, or related field.* Ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule driven, team-oriented environment with strong verbal and written communication skills.* Understanding of PCBA designs with embedded processors and/or FPGA is required.* Understanding of power electronics and motor control is required.* Understanding of system modeling and simulation using MATLAB/SIMULINK is required.**Preferred Qualifications:*** Familiarity with layout tools such as Altium is a plus.* Familiarity with TI MCUs is desired.
