Job summary

Advanced Energy in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking an Electronic Engineer II to lead design and validation of switch-mode power supplies and conversion systems. You will own major portions of designs and drive performance, reliability, manufacturability, and customer satisfaction across the lifecycle.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, firmware, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams, perform root-cause analysis, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of power electronics, analog and digital circuit design, and control systems.
• Ability to independently design, analyze, prototype, simulate, test, and validate electronic circuits and subsystems.
• Proficiency using laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power analyzers, electronic loads, DMMs, and function generators.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key contributor on product development teams responsible for advanced power conversion products.
• Design, develop, test, and debug power supply subsystems including AC/DC converters, PF C circuits, control systems, EMI filters, RF filters, and system architectures.
• Own significant portions of product designs and lead technical aspects of assigned projects or workstreams.
• Develop and execute validation plans, characterize product performance, and analyze test results to ensure design requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle.
