Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX business, in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to support design, build and test of power supply subassemblies. You will interface with manufacturing to support production and work with off-the-shelf test equipment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and experience with power circuits, PCBs, and embedded software (C/C++/C#). Prior RTX internship or related project experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering by start date.
  • Experience with power circuit boards, electrical simulators (PSpice or CircuitLab), analog/digital analysis and power circuits, oscilloscopes, and hardware embedded systems (C, C++, C#).
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and test of power supply subassemblies.
  • Interface with manufacturing in support of production.
  • Work with off-the-shelf test equipment (Power Supplies, generators, and various scopes).

What You Will Do
  • As a Power Electronics Engineer at Collins Aerospace, you will support engineers in the design, build and test of power supply subassemblies.
  • Position will likely interface with manufacturing in support of the production of our products.
  • Candidate should be comfortable with off the shelf test equipment (Power Supplies, generators, and various scopes)
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering major obtained by start date.
  • Experience with power circuit boards (PCBs), electrical simulators (PSpice or CicuitLab), analog/digital analysis and power circuits, oscilloscopes, and/or hardware embedded systems (C, C++, and/or C#)

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout/routing and Troubleshooting analog/digital and power circuits
  • Experience working in a team environment

This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.

RTX anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted. However, factors such as candidate flow and business necessity may require RTX to shorten or extend the application window.
