Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to design and develop advanced power electronics for solar, energy storage, and EV charging systems. You will lead products from concept through validation, creating digital control algorithms and high-frequency magnetics while coordinating with mechanical and PCB teams to optimize packaging and reliability.

Experience in designing power electronics for high-frequency applications.
Proven ability to take concepts to validated productization.
Ability to lead design activities and ensure compliance with standards.

Responsibilities

Design and develop power electronics for solar, energy storage, EV charging, and test applications.
Develop high-frequency bidirectional DC-DC converters and AC-DC grid-tie inverters.
Lead product development from concept to validation and productization.
Create digital control algorithms for power converter systems.
Design advanced magnetics (inductors/transformers) for high-frequency operation.
Collaborate with PCB layout designers for high-density HV designs.
Coordinate with mechanical team on packaging, heatsinks, and bus bars.
Lead UL/CE compliance activities and EMC testing/resolution.
