Job description

Job Title: Power Electronics Engineer

Location: Long Beach, CA, onsite.

Responsibilities

• Develop traction inverters for electric vehicle applications.
• Design, bring-up, characterize and troubleshoot traction inverters.
• Design and validate circuit schematics and PCB layout.
• Perform complex circuit design analysis, thermal analysis, and control analysis.
• Perform failure analysis.
• Support design validation and end‑of‑line tests specifications.
• Collaborate with mechanical design, software, system, project management, supply chain functions throughout the organization.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in power electronics product development. Hands‑on experience of schematic capture and circuit simulation & analysis tools.
• Hands‑on experience of PCB layout for better signal integrity and manufacturability.
• Hands‑on experience with high voltage power electronics testing and validation.
• Familiar with IGBT, MOSFET etc. devices and power modules.
• BS, MS, in EE or equivalent.

Preference

• Experience with EMI troubleshooting.
• Familiar with three phase inverters and motor control.
• Experience with safety‑critical automotive hardware development.
• Familiar with industry standards and regulatory requirements for power electronics products.
