Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an experienced Power Controls Engineer to lead control design for DC/DC converters, inverters, and motor drives using SiC/GaN devices in defense and aerospace programs.

You will model with Simulink/PLECS, validate with HIL/PHIL, and collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to deliver high-reliability systems under strict security standards. This role is in Costa Mesa, CA, with competitive salary and equity.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and tuning digital control loops for power electronic converters.
• Proficient in Simulink/PLECS for modeling, simulation, and analysis.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-461/464/810/DO-160.
• Eligible for U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and validate closed-loop control for switch-mode converters and inverters using Simulink/PLECS.
• Develop plant models and controller architectures for multi-kW power stages.
• Perform stability analysis, loop shaping, and compensator design to meet transient, EMI targets.
• Collaborate with power hardware engineers on gate drive tuning and switching-loss characterization.
• Support model-based code generation and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
