Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks an experienced Power Controls Engineer to develop advanced control algorithms for high‑performance power electronics used in defense and aerospace applications. You will own the control architecture for DC/DC converters, inverters, and motor drives built around SiC and GaN devices, collaborating with power hardware and firmware teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering is required.
• 5+ years in digital control loops for power converters.
• Proficiency in Simulink and/or PLECS for modeling and analysis.
• Strong background in control theory — z-domain and s-domain, bode analysis.
• Experience with discrete SiC and GaN power stages in multi-kW range.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-461/464/810/DO-160 and security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and validate closed-loop control for switch-mode power converters and inverters using Simulink/PLECS.
• Develop plant models and controllers for multi-kW SiC/GaN power stages.
• Collaborate with hardware/firmware engineers on gate drive tuning and switching-loss characterization.
• Support model-based code generation and translate control designs into embedded implementations.
• Define hardware-in-the-loop and power-hardware-in-the-loop test plans.
• Contribute to trade studies on topology, modulation, and control bandwidth.
