Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electrical EPC Project Manager - Engineer with a P.E. certification in Electrical Engineering. The ideal candidate will have experience in high voltage power systems, including power utility transmission and distribution. Responsibilities include specification, procurement, quality control of major equipment and tagged items, load flow, short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and harmonic studies using ETAP and/or SKM. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, small team environment, utilizing MS Project for project documentation, with experience in remote field sites, process plants, heavy industrial substations, switch stations, motor control center design, procurement support, project management, and construction. Knowledge of data centers, power generation, grid balancing, power sales, water cooling, permitting, and commissioning is highly desirable.

Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• PE Certification: Maintain and utilize P.E. in Electrical Engineering for Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and other states as preferable.
• High Voltage Power Systems: Design, analyze, and manage construction; ensure compliance with standards and safety regulations.
• Procurement: Develop specifications, process requisitions, evaluate bids, and select vendors.
• Quality Control & Testing: Review ITPs, conduct inspections, factory acceptance testing.
• Power System Studies: Perform harmonic studies and power system modeling.
• Technical Documentation: Create and review drawings, coordinate deliverables, and utilize software such as AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP.
• Substation & Switch Station Design: Lead engineering projects for substations and switch stations.
• Project Management: Manage timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communication.
• Construction Support: Support during construction, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety.
• High Power Consumer & Power Generation: Manage requirements for data centers, Bitcoin mining, natural gas, renewable systems, and grid balancing.

Qualifications

• Experience in high voltage power systems, proficiency in ETAP, SKM, MS Project, AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of engineering design, drawings, and documentation.
• Experience in substation and switch station design and project management.
• Knowledge of data center and Bitcoin mining power needs, power generation, and grid management.

Certifications

• P.E. in Electrical Engineering for Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, or comparable.
• Basic Orientation Plus - Health and Safety Council.
• Transportation Worker Identity Card (TWIC) - TSA.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's in electrical engineering with 5+ years in high voltage power systems.
