Job summary

Torus is seeking a Power Electrical Engineer Intern to help design, test, and mature an energy storage product line. You’ll contribute to electrical system design and assembly, collaborating with experienced engineers in a fast-paced environment.

We look for hands-on learners who can own projects from sketch to spec, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and teamwork. Onsite work in the Salt Lake City area with opportunities to grow into a full role.

Qualifications

• Continuing Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Completed Freshman year (2 semesters).
• GPA 3.0 or higher typical.
• Hands-on experience with Arduino, C-programming, soldering preferred.
• CAD experience with SOLIDWORKS for mechanical assemblies/drawings.
• Working knowledge of Google/Microsoft Office or similar.

Responsibilities

• Support design, testing and optimization of energy storage and inverter technologies.
• Build test fixtures and assist in test development and prototype equipment testing.
• Collaborate with Hardware engineering team and cross-functional teams to enhance performance.
• Demonstrate proactive, resourceful work ethic and ownership.
