Job summary

Integrated Power Services in Dallas, TX is seeking a Commercial Engineer to support opportunities by developing technical and commercial proposals, reviewing specifications, and estimating project costs. You will partner with sales, engineering, operations, and customers to deliver complete, competitive solutions and ensure handoff to operations after award.

Qualifications

Experience in estimating, engineering, or commercial operations.
Ability to read and interpret specifications, drawings, and customer requirements.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience with electrical distribution equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop technical and commercial proposals for switchgear, circuit breakers, parts, services, and engineered solutions.
Review customer specifications, drawings, RFQs, one-line diagrams, and project requirements to confirm scope.
Prepare cost estimates, pricing inputs, bid documentation, and commercial summaries.
Identify risks, exceptions, assumptions, clarifications, and terms impacting proposal accuracy or execution.
Partner with sales, engineering, operations, procurement, and field service teams to deliver complete customer solutions.
Support customer calls, proposal reviews, technical discussions, and follow-up questions during the bid process.
Maintain proposal files, opportunity records, pricing support, and related documentation.
Support handoff of awarded projects to operations and execution teams.
