Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking an Overhead Distribution Apprentice Lineperson to assist in constructing and maintaining overhead distribution lines and equipment. You will work under a lineperson's guidance, perform ground-based tasks, and learn to operate equipment safely.

This hourly role includes health/dental/vision, disability, 401(k) with matching, paid holidays and vacation, FR clothing, and a payroll deduction program.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Safely enter and exit the aerial device and rear-end of the bucket and derrick trucks.
• Follow directions, work safely and productively.
• Willing to travel out of state for emergency storm work.

Responsibilities

• Clears work area and maintains safe jobsite conditions.
• Assists with assembling material and helps with installation by lineperson from ground.
• Climb wooden poles to help perform duties.
• Excavate to assist in installation of structures or cable as required.
• Communicate work to public and private property owners.
• Adhere to regional safety policies and participate in training.
• Operate tools such as digging devices, wrenches, drills, and power tamp.
• Work around energized parts or equipment with safety protocols.
• Handle multiple duties as assigned by Supervisors.
