Job summary

Asplundh is seeking an Overhead Distribution Working Foreperson to lead an electrical crew in installing and repairing overhead distribution and transmission systems. The role requires strong leadership, safety discipline, and hands-on ability with high-voltage equipment.

Responsibilities include directing field crews, ensuring tool testing and safety training, and coordinating with the General Foreperson. Travel for emergency storm work is expected where required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in electrical power line construction.
• Proof of work experience, schooling, and certifications.
• OH maintenance experience required.

Responsibilities

• Directs and assists crew with all parts of the electrical system.
• Obtains daily job description and follows up with General Foreperson.
• Ensure daily testing and inspection of assigned tools and equipment.
• Ability to problem solve with unidentified circumstances on any job.
• Implement and enforce the safety program at field level for employees.
• Ensure employees are trained and qualified to perform the work.
• Ensure employees understand all safety rules pertaining to assigned work.
• Ensure quality job briefings are conducted.
• Perform safety inspections using job behavior observation program and tool.
• Conduct incident investigations.
• Enforce compliance with rules and regulations.
• Report injuries to supervision immediately.
• Report incidents and near misses to supervision.
• Perform other duties related to installation of Overhead Power Supply.
