Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking an Overhead Distribution Working Foreperson to lead a crew in installing and repairing overhead distribution and transmission systems, including poles and cables. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficient work in the field.

The candidate will supervise daily activities, ensure tool readiness, and enforce safety rules while coordinating with supervision. A strong background in electrical line work and high voltage procedures is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Knowledge of energized high voltage systems and related safety requirements.
• Ability to identify, operate and service all required tools and equipment listed above.

Responsibilities

• Directs and assists crew with all parts of the electrical system.
• Obtain daily job descriptions and follow up with General Foreperson.
• Ensure daily testing and inspection of assigned tools and equipment.
• Problem solve under unidentified circumstances on a given job.
• Implement and enforce the safety program at field level for employees.
• Ensure employees are trained and qualified to perform the work.
• Ensure understanding of all safety rules pertaining to assigned work.
• Ensure quality job briefings are conducted.
• Perform safety inspections using the job behavior observation program.
• Conduct incident investigations and report injuries or near misses.
• Enforce compliance with all rules and regulations.
• Travel to emergency storm work as needed.
