Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Technical Lead for Power Distribution in Pittsburgh. You will oversee engineering projects, ensure quality, timelines, and budgets, and drive regional revenue growth.

The role involves developing client relationships, hiring and training staff, and guiding projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in electrical distribution design, strong leadership in Project Management, and a PE license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; master’s degree or MBA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in electrical distribution.
• PE license or ability to obtain is required.
• Proven experience leading project managers and designers.
• Strong proposal development, scope, schedule, and fee setting.
• Ability to manage client expectations and develop business.
• Experience with ISO standards and quality assurance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and monitor multiple projects.
• Knowledge of construction management and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop business with new and existing clients.
• Manage client relationships and project scope, schedule, and fees.
• Plan and direct large engineering projects or programs.
• Lead technical teams to produce designs, calculations, plans, and specs.
• Collaborate with internal departments and sub-consultants.
• Provide technical oversight and guidance on power distribution work.
• Mentor staff and ensure compliance with ISO standards.
• Prepare and review design calculations and cost estimates.
• Attend project team meetings and report progress.
