Job summary

Westwood Professional Services is seeking an Engineering Supervisor, Power Distribution to lead a staff of designers and engineers in utility design, cost estimates, and deliverables for distribution customers. The role ensures compliance with codes and standards, mentors staff, and collaborates with substation, transmission, and renewable teams.

The position oversees project planning, resource coordination, and KPI reporting, acting as primary contact for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in ABET-accredited engineering with relevant power distribution experience.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise a team of engineers and technicians.
• Advanced knowledge of overhead/underground distribution facilities and standards.
• Experience with NESC, ASCE, IEEE standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineering teams delivering designs, estimates, and customer deliverables.
• Manage schedules, assign staff, and monitor progress on multiple projects.
• Review and approve technical designs and documentation.
• Mentor staff and drive continuous improvement and QA/QC.
• Communicate project status and risks to stakeholders.
• Maintain client relationships and pursue new opportunities.
