Job summary

Insight Global seeks aPower Distribution Designer to support electrical and power distribution projects in the Tampa area. This role is currently remote; however, candidates must be located in the Orlando, FL area and are comfortable transitioning to a hybrid work environment in the future.

The ideal candidate will have exposure to the power, energy, or utilities industry and enjoy translating technical requirements into accurate work packages, drawings, and labor estimates to move projects from

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience or knowledge within the power, energy, or utilities industry.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand technical project requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed project and job packages for electrical and power distribution installations.
• Develop material lists and requisitions needed to support project execution.
• Prepare labor estimates and project-related documentation.
• Create and support site drawings and construction drawings for distribution projects.
• Review project requirements and translate technical information into accurate work packages.
• Help ensure designs and project packages are completed in a cost-effective manner.
• Coordinate the documentation needed to move power distribution projects from planning into construction.
• Support multiple project deliverables while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Required Qualifications:
